A decade of insight, redesigned for impact
For the 10th anniversary of Sonatype’s State of the Software Supply Chain report, the goal was clear: reinforce Sonatype’s authority as a long-standing leader in open-source security while increasing overall brand visibility. The milestone demanded more than an update. It required a strategic evolution.

My approach
I led the creative direction for the entire initiative, overseeing everything from the anniversary mark to the report layout and campaign collateral. We reimagined the design system from the ground up with a bold shift: letting the data speak. Instead of illustration-heavy visuals used in past editions, we leaned into the numbers themselves—using data as the central design element.
Key contributions included:
- Full layout and design of the 69-page report
- Design of a custom 10th anniversary logo
- Creation of 42 custom data visualizations, optimized for print and digital
- Oversight of the interactive web experience to ensure visual and narrative consistency
- Supervision of campaign design, including social media assets, ads, and slide decks
- Direction of a limited-run print edition for in-person events and high-level stakeholders
This was a deeply collaborative effort, working alongside Sonatype’s research and writing teams, marketing leads, external developers, and freelance contributors. My role ensured the entire system felt unified across formats and channels.
